I know it’s way too early but Little Bird will be getting one of these for his second birthday. I remember learning to ride my first bike. I was certainly a lot older than two, more like ten years old. I was embarrased to use training wheels and all my friends already knew how to ride a bike. I was so determined to learn that I spent one whole day on my bike, pushing myself along the sidewalk curb in front of my house. Back and forth I went, and up and down I fell, practicing my balance until sunset. I must of hit the pavement a million times, but it was worth it, not to get laughed at for having wussy training wheels on my bicycle.
Hopefully Little Bird can for go the embarrasement of training wheels and learn to ride on this wooden balance bike. And at two years old to boot! The recommended age for these neat little wooden creations are 2 to 5. Here’s a couple links to a few different balance bicycle manufacturers.

Nice! I think we are going to get Dahlia a Strider http://www.stridersports.com/products.html. It comes in all kinds of colors, even pink!
the kids (3-5) at my school use the balance bikes. the kids love ‘em! but the tricycles are good, too. it helps kids learn how to peddle lol but balancing is a good skill to learn.
Do the kids pick it up pretty quick? I think Nicholas’ parents should get him one of these. But that boy is all about trains trains trains!
Cool! I can’t wait to see her riding one!
